Paris Hilton Does Not Spare John McCain

Paris Hilton

The war of the political ads grows more intense with US presidential elections just three months away. We all saw how Republican John McCain used Paris Hilton and Britney Spears without their permission in a campaign ad that targeted opponent and Democrat Barack Obama by equating him with the two babes. While Britney chose to ignore the matter, Paris certainly wasn’t happy being dragged into the mudslinging. So she retaliated with another ad. Well, I’ve never been a Paris Hilton fan but yeah, I do like the cheek she has shown in this attempt.
The ad opens with a voice over declaring that John McCain (the male voice doesn’t take the name, but it’s clear who is being talked about) is the oldest celeb in the world. Then Paris thanks “the old guy with wrinkly hair” for considering her an able candidate for American presidency. And she also agrees that she is not old and is ready to lead. But she does maintain a diplomatic stance on the energy issue by suggesting a hybrid between Obama and McCain’s ideas. That is smooth. And guess what, the ad ends with a classic Paris Hilton…”Oh, you wouldn’t mind if I paint the White House pink. I think it will be hot.”

McCain Uses Paris and Britney to Get At Obama

Paris Hilton is angry with John McCain

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton and pop star Britney Spears are pissed off. Recently, John McCain featured the two controversial babes in a political ad that attacks Barack Obama without their knowledge and consent. Britney’s rep said that she won’t give importance to such a petty thing and has bigger things to worry about than who runs for president. C’mon Britney there are things far more important than loving puppies! As for Paris, she has not seen the ad yet as she is touring with Benji Madden and isn’t watching television. But she is aware of the ad and is certainly not happy about it. Now, isn’t that interesting for Paris’ parents are strong supporters of McCain so much so that they have even contributed to this presidential campaign but it turns out she is not declaring publicly who she is standing by for the elections.

That was about the varying opinion in the Hilton household but coming back to McCain; well he has stooped too low with this ad campaign. He has defined a new low, even lower than mudslinging. Imagine equating Obama to Paris and Britney. Indeed, the attempt is very below the belt. I hope the citizens of the world view this thing with open eyes.

Hannah Montana Not So (S)Miley with Selena Gomez

Miley Cyrus on her popular TV show Hannah Montana
Hey, is there an unspoken rule about a teen celeb having a similar aged rival. Oh c’mon man, can we forget Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera trying to get each other with toy boy Justin Timberlake being bounced off from one babe to another. Sadly, I see the same fate for the oh-so-loved Hannah Montana aka Miley Cyrus and her onscreen and now off screen rival Selena Gomez. For the uninitiated, Selena guest stars on Miley’s show ironically as her rival only. Now come to think of it, didn’t Britney also come with a BANG and now all we can hear is a whimper. I fail to understand where the parents of these star kids disappear leaving them in the clutches of the PR agents. Well, celeb rivalry sure is the most dependable way to be in the news but Mr and Ms PR agents please, at least spare the kids.

I mean the two girls are minting money for Disney channel with their huge popularity. Well, even I loved watching them on TV with my teenage girl cousins, and they absolutely adored them. But now the girls have gone petty to score a point against each other. Apparently, Selena Gomez hosts a show on YouTube with Demi Lovato which really is an honest attempt. The girls seem like regular teenagers and not stuck-up celebs. In fact, in one of the episodes Selena showed off her Power Rangers shirt and Demi showed that she fixed the gap in her teeth. So, on July 19th Miley with the help of Mandy Jiroux released a YouTube parody of the same show acting like drunken idiots. Pooh, what a shame! Later on, Miley did apologise with a very cheeky ‘Imitation is the best form of flattery’ quote but then everyone agreed that she was plain jealous!
